Curiosity Gin

Curiosity Gin approached the team at Fjell Folk Collective with the challenge to develop a new brand identity and bottle design- one that would match the unique flavour profiles of their award-winning gin range. 

Inspired by the nature of the craft- heritage botanicals and a colourful team with a taste for the contemporary. We developed a brand that speaks to the distillation process, and invites a sense of playfulness and curiosity. To launch the brand, we produced a guidebook for building out their new distillery space, website design, social media guidelines, as well as a digital and print campaign.

Taking a holistic approach, we collaborated with the team on each step to elevate and develop the brand. From competitor research, market positioning, branding inspiration, creative brainstorming and design iteration, the approach was methodical and comprehensive. We examined the brands that resonated most with the team, as well as relevant competitors, and identified what made them successful, and how Curiosity could stand apart.

The Curiosity Gin team officially launched the new brand in November 2019, and made its grand debut at a gin trade show in Auckland February, 2020. Since the launch, Curiosity has received an abundance of praise for their new look, has had a feature in Metropol Magazine, and has launched a new innovative rhubarb flavor, Ruby.
